Sarlat town



The town of Sarlat is undoubtedly one of Périgord's top tourist attractions. This ancient medieval town has been admirably preserved and restored. In season, Sarlat is a lively town, with its market, guided tours and festivals.
In winter, Sarlat hosts three major events:
- The Sarlat Christmas market: December 5-31, 70 stalls, illuminations and ice rink.
- The truffle festival :Saturday January 19 and Sunday January 20, 2019 in the center of Sarlat
- Goose festival :Saturday 02/03/2019 to Sunday 03/03/2019 Place de la Liberté

The Dordogne Valley



The Dordogne valley stretches from Carlux to Siorac en Périgord. It's a valley of unspoilt nature and major heritage sites.

Beynac Castle



Located in one of France's most beautiful villages, Beynac-et-Cazenacau, this impressive château is built on top of a cliff. It offers superb views over the Dordogne valley. A 20-minute drive from your vacation rental.In winter, Sarlat hosts three major events:

Castelnaud Castle



Château de Castelnaud, a 13th-century fortress, offers a magnificent panoramic view over the Dordogne valley. It houses an important collection of weapons and armor, illustrating the art of warfare in the Middle Ages. A 15-minute drive from your vacation rental.

Commarque Castle



A wonderful visit to this medieval castle, which emerged from the forest following excavations, and to the knights' village built at its foot. A timeless fortress on a cliff overlooking the valley. A 30-minute drive from your vacation rental



Milandes Castle



Milandes Castle perpetuates the memory of Josephine Baker.
To get there, you'll follow the Dordogne Valley and its most beautiful villages, such as La Roque-Gageac and Beynac, built on promontories overlooking the valley. A 20-minute drive from your vacation rental

Fénelon Castle



Magnificent feudal castle in the Périgord Noir. The architecture is rare and it is superbly furnished with objects and works of art. Eyzies's Troglodytic dwellings



Eyzies de Tayac's village is home to troglodyte dwellings that reveal traces of human occupation from Neanderthal man to Cro-magnon. A 25-minute drive from your vacation rental.

National Museum of Prehistory



This museum provides a historical context for visits to nearby shelters. The original exhibits retrace the settlement of the first hunter-gatherers in Aquitaine from 400,000 BC to the end of the Ice Age (10,000 BC). The museum is closed on Tuesdays. A 25-minute drive from your vacation rental.
